Once you know who you're targeting, you can start to put together a marketing strategy that will reach them where they are. 


2. Know your product. 

Just as important as knowing your market is understanding what it is that you're selling. What are the features and benefits of your product or service? What makes it unique? When you know the answers to these questions, you can start to position your product in a way that will appeal to your target market. 


3. Use social media. 

Social media is a great way to reach out to potential customers and get your name out there. Make sure you're active on the platforms where your target market is spending their time and share content that will be of interest to them. You can also use social media to run targeted ads that will reach people who are already interested in what you have to offer. 


4. Attend events and trade shows. 

If there's one place you're guaranteed to find potential customers, it's at an industry event or trade show. These events are a great opportunity to network and make connections that could turn into leads down the road. Attend events that are relevant to your industry and make sure you have plenty of business cards on hand to exchange with potential customers. 

 

5. Partner with other businesses. 

Another great way to find new leads is by partnering with other businesses in your industry—or even outside of it. For example, if you sell office supplies, consider partnering with an office furniture company or a company that provides office services like cleaning or IT support. You can promote each other's products or services to your respective customer bases and generate some new leads in the process.
